Writes his books under the pen name of Harun Yahya. He is a worldly known man of ideas and ever since his university years he has dedicated his life to telling of existence and oneness of All-Mighty Allah to disseminate the moral values of the Qur’an. To the intellectual defeat of materialist and atheist ideologies, to propagating the real Ataturk way and to defending the prominence of the state and to unity of the nation. He has never waved in the face of difficulties and in spite of pressure from materialist, Darwinist and separatist circles. Harun Yahya, Adnan Oktar still continues this intellectual struggle today, exhibitinggreat patience and determination. We go over live to Turkey and we are going to be joined by Ahmet who will translate this particular interview. ADNAN OKTAR: Ve aleyna aleykümselam ve Rahmetullahü ve berakatü, ahlen ve sahlen beküm.
PRESENTER: Thank you very much for giving us your time talking to us from Turkey. Could you give us a short biography of yourself Mr. Oktar?
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. I was born in 1956 in Ankara. On 2 February. I was in Ankara until I finished the high school. In 1979 I came to Istanbul and entered the Fındıkli Academy of Fine Arts in the third place. I started to study Interior Architecture. Until 1983 I studied there. In 1983 I passed to Istanbul University Philosophy Department. After studying philosophy there for a while I started my CD, magazine and book studies. So we are here today.
PRESENTER: Now I know that must be... insha’Allah. What inspired you to write more than 300 books and translate them into more than 60 foreign languages? I think it’s a thing nobody has ever done before.
ADNAN OKTAR: In the Qur’an it is obligatory to “enjoin the good and forbid the evil.” In order to fulfill this obligation I feel compelled to do these as a Muslim. I believe such an effort is what deserves Allah’s good pleasure.
PRESENTER: What throws you for... Whenever I read the one of your books I see your love for nature shines through every writing you put forward now. Are these research all coming from what is in the Qur’an? Or do you see mankind drifting away from the very essence of things that we need to know?
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. In the Qur’an All-Mighty Allah makes it obligatory for us to open our mind, ponder deeply and examine very well all the evidences in both our bodies and the outer world. That is, in the Qur’an Allah wants us to examine, learn His artistry by means of scientific methods, and increase our love for Him and have a better grasp of His Might. This is an opportunity created by Allah to learn His artistry.
PRESENTER: Insha’Allah. I also see that Mr. Oktar takes a keen interest in East Turkestan. I’m just going to your website and looking at the interest shown. Why so much focused on East Turkestan?
ADNAN OKTAR: In East Turkistan 10.000 people were recently martyred secretly. This was also done before and up until now 35 million people have been martyred. 35 million Uyghur Turks have been martyred in East Turkistan and the world remains insensitive. This is a great savagery. Again approximately 10,000 Uyghur girls, that is, East Turkestani girls were taken out of their homes at midnights and all of them were distributed, excuse me please, to brothels of the China Army; to give service to various military units. We have right now solid, comprehensive information about it at hand. China commits a great barbarity, a great cruelty and the whole world remains insensitive. If China is warned a little bit about this issue, it may give up. Furthermore, they demand the cost of the bullets they use to martyr our martyred brothers from their families. In other words, if they fired 10 bullets to murder a person, they demand the cost of those 10 bullets from the families. That is a great cruelty. This can only be resolved by the establishment of the Turkish Islamic Unity, by the union of Muslims. Indeed, in such a unity Christians, Muslims and Jews, all of them will feel at ease. When true justice, true peace is established, when weapons are removed, this cruelty will totally be eliminated.
PRESENTER: What are your views on the current Muslim leadership around the world? If you look at countries especially in the Middle East, look at the Palestinian crisis now where the world stands by and just watch idly as Palestinians continue to be slaughtered, we watch the seize of Masjid al Aqsa taking place everyday. What are your views on the current contemporary leadership, Muslim leadership?
ADNAN OKTAR: It is obligatory for Muslims to choose a leader, a spiritual leader. This is the evident command of the Qur’an. Every community absolutely has a leader but the Islamic world is bereft of a leader. In order for the Islamic world to have a spiritual leader, it is obligatory to strive for this end. All Muslims should demand that. But our time is the time of Mahdi. Be thanks to Allah, Hazrat Mahdi (as) has come. There is also very little time to the descent of Hazrat Massiah (as). In 10-15 years time Hazrat Massiah (as) will descent insha’Allah. Consequently insha’Allah Hazrat Mahdi (as) will lead Muslims. We will enter an age of peace, security and bliss insha’Allah. The concepts of true democracy, true brotherhood will reign. Neither Chinese communism nor fascism, nor savage capitalism will remain. Cruelty will disappear for once and all. Not a drop of blood will be spilled from now on.
PRESENTER: Insha’Allah. Now these views that you put forward seem to be in direct conflict with todays’ or the contemporary Islamic leadership. Are you not under any pressure? And what type of hardships are you facing in this ideological struggle?
ADNAN OKTAR: Mahdism is the full name of Islamic leadership. It is a perfect leadership, a flawless leadership. It is a leadership created by All-Mighty Allah in the destiny. Consequently it is not in a conflict but in a perfect harmony. I can explain if you cite a single point that presents a conflict.
PRESENTER: I want to come back in maybe to start with the Darwinist myths. I know that you’ve written lots in Darwinism. Tell us little bit about the myths about Darwinism.
ADNAN OKTAR: Darwinism is dajjalism. This is the greatest incident of this age and the recent centuries. It is also the greatest dajjalism of the world history. Darwin is the dajjal mentioned in the hadith and it has caused the murder of 350 million people in the world. It caused the outbreak of WWI and WWII. It disabled more than 1 billion people, destroyed houses and cities, left billions of orphans behind and this process is still going on.
Let me give some brief information about Darwinism. Darwinism is a great deception. It is the greatest deception in the world history. There are more than 250 million fossils proving Creation. We also have these fossils in our hand. People all around the world have these fossils. These fossils and the living beings in our day are exactly the same. For instance, when we look at the fossil of a living being dating back to 200 million years, we see that they are exactly the same with those in our day. We have 250 million fossils. On the other hand, Darwinists have not a single evidence in their hands. If they bring just a single evidence, that fake claim they call intermediate fossil, I will give them 10 trillion TL. But they can not provide such an evidence because there is no such an evidence. Besides, the coming existence of a single protein, a single amino acid by chance is impossible. This is scientifically proven. This presents also a deadlock for them. They especially can not explain chromosomes and the structure of the cell. This is a miracle itself; it has collapsed scientifically and all the world understands this. In Turkey the number of people not believing in Darwinism is 95 percent and this state spreads around the world. Atlas of Creation has been sent to all the important professors in the world and they have also seen the truth. Darwinism is in a tremendous downfall right now. I can say it has been leveled to the ground.
PRESENTER: Is it only with the coming of Imam Mahdi... With the coming of the Imam Mahdi, what would his first duty be? To prove the falsity of Darwinism? Would he do something to prove all the falsities?
ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Mahdi (as)...The well-known Islamic scholar, the great mujaddid Said Nursi says that when Hazrat Mahdi (as) first comes he will first demolish materialism and Darwinism. This is his first duty. And he will communicate the signs leading to faith. Said Nursi says that he will present signs of Allah’s existence to people. He says that he is responsible of preserving people’s faith and improving it. His second and third duties will be to unite the Islamic world and establish peace and justice in the world. But before that Said Nursi says that he will perform his first duty. These are the explanations of Said Nursi. Said Nursi gives a detailed account of this subject. He relates that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear in Hijri 1400 and dajjalism will be demolished in the years 2001, 2011, 2021. He told them in 1930’s and 1940’s.
PRESENTER: How different will be the ideals of the Turkish Islamic Union compared to the ideals, contemporary ideals, today’s ideals that we see as springing up in few Muslim countries like the Muslim Brotherhood? Would the Turkish Islamic Union be model and ideals be the same as Muslim Brotherhood?
ADNAN OKTAR: Like the age of the followers of our Prophet (saas). It will be based on full democracy, full love, full brotherhood and justice. Christians and Jews will also live in peace, comfort and security in this system. They will worship as they wish. There will be unprecedented improvement in art, science and technology. A brand new civilization will come into existence and Islam will prevail over the world. There are two verses in the Qur’an relating The Prophet Jesus’ (as) descent and Islam’s domination over the world in the time of Messiah (as). All-Mighty Allah relates in these verses that no one from the People of the Book will remain who does not believe in The Prophet Jesus (as). In the other verse it is related that those having love for Hazrat Massiah (as) will dominate the world until the Doomsday. Let me say which verse this is. Besides, for the descent of Hazrat Massiah (as) All-Mighty Allah says, “He is a sign for the Doomsday.” These are told only for Hazrat Massiah (as).
PRESENTER: Insha’Allah. So how far would Mr. Oktar say that we are away from seeing Imam Mahdi appearing?
ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Mahdi (a.s.) has appeared. We understand the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (a.s.) from the hadith. All the signs have taken place. Our Prophet (saas) says that we can understand his appearance from the signs. We can understand the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (as) from all the signs that have taken place. Oktar will cite these signs right now.
OKTAR BABUNA: There is going to be a bloody attack to the Kaaba. This happened in 1979.
Stopping the flow of the Euphrates that happened in 1975 because Keban dam was built.
The occupation of the Afghanistan, one of the signs that happened in 1979.
Iran-Iraq war in 1980, this happened also.
There will be two comets, Halley comet in 1986 and Lulin comet passed this year. These are described in the hadith also.
Sun and moon eclipses in the month of Ramadan in two following years with 15 days apart. This happened in 1981 and 1986. Sun and moon eclipses. You can check this from the Internet. In the month of Ramadan and two following years 15 days apart.
Also, the destruction of Baghdat by flames, Iraqi war.
Iraqis will be left penniless.
Division of Iraq in three parts.
Army vanishes in the dessert. That happened in the Iraqi war. Iraqi army vanished.
There are more than 150 signs.
Occupation of Azarbaijan, for example.
Economic crisis is described.
Years of drought, and then years of flood after that. These are all happening.
Widespread massacres
Annihilation of cities (Nagasaki, Hiroshima for example)
And many other signs.
They all happened. More than 150 signs from the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (as).
PRESENTER: Insha’Allah. What then other solutions to all the social ills right now? And what advice do you have for Muslims around the world?
ADNAN OKTAR: First of all Muslims should eliminate enmities, rage and even dissents among Islamic schools and communities. We are all brothers. That is Sunni, Shia, Jaferite and Wahabi, all of them are taqwa and pure people. There are ignorant people who encourage them to harbor enmity towards one another. Muslims should not give ear to them. On the very contrary, they should assume a brotherly attitude in unity and solidarity. Besides, devout Christians and devout Jews should make a complete cooperation. We can establish a beautiful unity by laying a proper ground for them so that they can perform their worship and show meticulousness to their religion, by making them live in freedom. This way a very solid defense can be established against dajjalism, Darwinism, materialism and atheism. In this situation Islam can spread like seaweed and it can dominate the world in a moment. All-Mighty Allah has promised this to us and He will surely make His promise come true. We will insha’Allah see this promise.
PRESENTER: InshaAllah. What about the fact that... I think the Quran is very explicitly clear in warning us about our friendship with the non-believers and so forth. Are you telling us that the views on people of the Book should be to tolerate each other, don’t have doubts on each other? The seeing of each other as anti-christ is extremely dangerous. Is that what I understand?
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. Those believing in one Allah should absolutely act together. But some time later, in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) Christians, Muslims and Jews will live perfectly under very comfortable conditions. But following the coming of Massiah (as), by Allah’s leave, Islam will spread all the world and Islam will remain as a sole religion.
PRESENTER: Good, good. I was going to come to another question. In fact my next question was on the Poeple of the Book. We are going to leave that now. We are running out of time and I just want to find out the views about what we understanding to be hearing today is; no matter if you are Christian, you are Muslim or Jew if you are sincere to Allah, you are going to be entering heaven. Is that what I understand that have been said?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, yes.
PRESENTER: Everybody?
OKTAR BABUNA: Those who are sincere?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes yes.
PRESENTER: All right. We are just looking... I just want to briefly go back to the views on Muslim countries’ leadership. We spoke about Darwinism. I was looking a touch on historic evolution and so forth but time is not on our side. Coming back to Darwinism. If we look at the leading countries of the world today that sets an agenda for all of us, likely USA, likely British, the European Union... Would you say that’s a pure form of Darwinism that they follow in and is it not the duty then of every Muslim to stand up to this kind of myth and false pretence that they are genuine people?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes it was so but right now, Darwinism being demolished, they have lost their former belief. Darwinism has demolished everywhere. There is nothing to do for America and Europe since Darwinism has collapsed in the whole world. That is to say, Allah made it collapse. Allah made us instrumental in this. Right now Darwinism has been laid to waste. That is to say, it is right now embarrassing for people to advocate Darwinism. This is really an embarrassing situation. From now on you will no longer hear the name of Darwinism. A decade later Darwinism will disappear in history for once and all.
PRESENTER: Ok, all right. I just want to... my final point maybe some more advice here with regard to the moral values of Muslims, of Islam around the world. We seem to be sliding into a part of oblivian going nowhere. What other advice would you have Muslims around the world who are listening us today? And we know that the best advice is to follow the sunnah, the way of our Prophet Mohammed (s.a.v.). And people are moving ever so far away as we put more effort into bringing people closer. Why is Allah-u teala not accepting the duas of billions of Muslims around the world? What other advice would you have for our listeners all around the world?
ADNAN OKTAR: It is related in the hadith that Muslims will enter such a deadlock in this century, that they will fall out with each other, that blood will be spilled and the world will go through a great disorder. This is what the world will be like before Hazrat Mahdi (as). It is in destiny that the world will fall in this situation before Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) appearance and that is how it is depicted in the hadith. Now we have entered the age of Mahdism and from now on all Muslims will unite. Conflicts among them will be resolved and you will see that dajjalism will melt and disappear. And these are happening right now. Whatever our Prophet (saas) has told has come true. In ten years time you will see that all of these things will happen insha’Allah. In 10-15 years, at most in two decades Hazrat Messiah (as) will come insha’Allah.
