Adnan Oktar: For one thing, there is trust in Allah but no panic in the solution that Islam will provide. Panic is one of main harmful elements in such phenomena. Since Muslims put their trust in Allah and since there will be no panic, panic is eliminated. Second, there is no interest system in Islam. It is interest that brought this system into being. Interest rates must be brought down to zero. There is mutual solidarity in Islam. Helping the poor, giving them opportunities, even giving them large sums of money and wiping off any debts they may have. These things are very important. Forgiving people’s debts is a commandment in the Qur’an. These are very, very important. But this crisis is one of the portents of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) whom we are told will appear in the End Times, one of the major events that will take place before the return of the Prophet Jesus. And there is no way back from this crisis. It will probably last for 7 years. That is indicated in the Qur’an. It began in 2007. I estimate it will continue until 2014. Allah knows the truth. Precautionary measures to be taken against the crisis, reducing interest rates to zero, lowering taxes, seriously lowering them, the cancelation of debts, giving priority to agriculture, to livestock raising and even poultry raising and to the whole of the food sector, and supporting all industries related to agriculture and livestock raising are all of vital importance.

Adnan Oktar: This crisis began in 2007 and will engulf the whole system until 2014. They will end up in a dreadful, impoverished state and will beg us to save them. And there will be shortages as a result. So they will be unable to boast of their wealth and property and be so proud in the way they were before. As with Kharun, Allah will annihilate their system. What happened to Kharun in the Qur’an has now happened in the End Times. In other words, all Kharun’s treasure is becoming worthless. Kharun’s treasure was highly renowned, as you know, and the Qur’an says it was very large. It says his economic power was very great. These people’s economic system was also very great. But they have now entered the period of famine described in Surah Yusuf. And this period of famine will last 7 years. They will be totally weakened and impoverished by it. And they will learn the moral values of Islam. At the end of the day the Turkish-Islamic world will come to their rescue.

GDP will not reach pre-crisis levels in 2014

According to the IMF, the crisis will shrink all the economies of the world. Germany and Britain will be worst affected … Turkey’s per capita income of $10,471 in 2009 will shrink to $7,800. GDP will not return to today’s level in 2014, remaining at $644.8 billion.
The global crisis is having a negative effect on all the countries of the world, and the economies of the largest countries will contract by between $40 billion and $667 billion. According to the latest figures collected by the IMF, Turkey’s GDNP will contract from $729.44 in 2008 by $177.26 billion in 2009 due to the crisis, falling to $552.18, though its ranking as no. 17 in the world will remain unchanged.
